Biometric identifier notice
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This notice explains how UNIAI TECHNOLOGY - FZCO (“Bookva”) handles photographs and biometric identifiers, and serves as our public retention and destruction policy.
We do not collect or store biometric identifiers
Bookva does not create, capture, collect, purchase, or store biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined by laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, or the Colorado Privacy Act. Specifically, we never generate or retain face templates, faceprints, face geometry, or facial embeddings. Our AI providers process the photo in memory to draw a stylized comic character and retain nothing.
Photo retention and destruction schedule
- The single photo you upload is stored encrypted in a private US storage bucket and used only to generate the comic illustrations and for internal quality review.
- It is permanently and irreversibly deleted no later than 24 hours after upload — sooner once generation and quality review are complete.
- We never sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from photos or any biometric data, and we never disclose photos except to the AI providers needed to create your comic (in no-training, zero-retention mode), as described in the privacy policy.
Consent before upload
Before any photo can be uploaded, the customer must confirm they are 18 or older and the child’s parent or legal guardian (or have that parent’s or guardian’s express permission), and must consent to the processing described above. We record the time and text version of each consent.
